The CFRD Story

Located in Hobsonville, CrossFit Red Dragon is West Auckland’s premiere CrossFit facility and home to OWNZ affiliated weightlifting club, West Auckland Barbell Club.

We welcome people of all backgrounds and ages, and offer classes suitable for all fitness levels, including CrossFit Elements for beginners, Mini Dragons for kids, Silver Dragons for 60+, right through to speciality fitness and advanced weightlifting training.

Our community is our passion, and we strive to create a fun and supportive environment for our members, guided by our expert coaches who are committed to helping you achieve your goals.

Workout of the Day

Our main CrossFit class runs several times a day, coached in a group session. Each day is different and classes can be scaled to all fitness levels.

CrossFit Elements
for Beginners

Learn the fundamental movements of CrossFit safely in our Elements class designed for beginners, where we focus on technique and building confidence.

Our weightlifting class focuses on the two Olympic lifts, the Snatch and Clean & Jerk. Suitable for those familiar with barbell squat movements.

Dragonflies
Express Lunch Class

A fast and fun 40 min boot camp style class, with a focus on fitness, bodyweight movements and core strength.

CrossFit for Kids

Fun classes for 7-11 year olds to get kids moving safely and learning fundamental movement skills for sport and life.

Silver Dragons CrossFit

Fitness for 60+

Physiotherapist-led classes for adults 60+, designed to build functional strength and mobility. Designed for all fitness levels.

Pilates

Designed to strengthen shoulders, back and abdominal muscles, our Pilates classes will also help to improve your balance, posture and flexibility.

Personal Training

Personal Training

In these 1-on-1 sessions, our personal trainers will customise a gym program to your ability and skill level, and help motivate you to achieve your fitness goals.

6 Week Challenge

6 Week Challenge

Running again in Jan 2019, our challenge includes 3 CrossFit Elements classes per week plus a personalised meal plan to kick start your results. Suitable for beginners.
